Laser Eye Treatment

Laser eye surgery has become a very popular corrective treatment for hyperopia (long-sightedness), myopia (short-sightedness) and astigmatism (blurring). While usually successful, problems can occur due to laser eye surgery.

The procedure is very invasive and risks include: corneal haze, night time glare and problems with healing. The technology has only been in use for around 20 years, meaning doctors and scientists do not yet fully know the long-term effects.
